Underpinned by a children’s rights based approach, we work to influence law, policy and practice to bring about positive change for Armed Forces children and young people in issues affecting them. We do this by:

  • Engaging with politicians in the Scottish and UK Parliaments on issues affecting Armed Forces children and young people
  • Responding to consultations carried out to develop law, policy and practice
  • Producing briefings on key issues affecting Armed Forces children and young people
  • Working with other stakeholders to maximise our impact and effect positive change for children and young people in Armed Forces families.

Across this work, we actively seek and listen to the views of Armed Forces children and young people to ensure their voices are heard. We put their lived experiences at the heart of our policy work in striving to bridge the gap between Armed Forces children and young people and decision-makers.
